About Me

I’m Emma, founder of Scent and Soothe, passionate about complementary therapies and with a particular love of essential oils. I have been intrigued by the power of plants for as long as I can remember, using flowers, herbs, resins and leaves in baths, lotions, perfumes and around my home.

Back in September 2019 I attended a wellness festival, and then a little later, a yoga retreat, both of which invoked in me the deep need to find my ‘why’, change my path, and to really focus my attention in the area of Aromatherapy. I enrolled on an Aromatherapy Practitioners course with Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, training with the Natural Health School where I achieved a distinction award.

I have a personal interest in both women’s health and mental health issues and the benefits of using Aromatherapy to help in these areas. I have found using essential oils for anxiety, depression and stress highly beneficial and that Aromatherapy can be a huge help with menstrual issues, PMT, PMS, with fertility, in pregnancy and during peri-menopause and the menopause.

My vision for Scent and Soothe is to provide a safe environment to listen, to hold space, and to offer treatments that relax, enable connection, allow for relief from pain and discomfort, support both mental and physical health and create emotional wellbeing. I want my clients to feel that they have had a real experience in my care and that they always leave feeling better than when they arrive.
